About Us
The Quarantine Review was born in the surreal early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is a literary journal created to alleviate the malaise of social distancing with exceptional writing and artwork. With a global pandemic at hand, we believe that great works of creativity can liberate us despite our being sequestered. Although the theme of self-isolation might permeate every issue, the stories and essays themselves run the gamut from humorous to transcendent.
As time seems to be speeding up and slowing down simultaneously, with immeasurable days bleeding into interminable weeks, The Quarantine Review celebrates literature and art, connecting readers through reflections on the human condition. It seeks to lift spirits and engage minds with stimulating poetry, fiction, and art, while also publishing personal essays and cultural commentary. We endeavour to bridge the social distance with remarkable writing and art to remind our readers of the world that was, to help them navigate the world that is, and to dream together about the world that can be.
